Workshops
A variety of offerings for both musicians and museums
Workshop Offerings
Audition Etiquette
Auditioning is it's own unique skill. This workshop is geared to set up auditionees with confidence in their presentation, interactions with pianists and panelists, adapting to changes and surprises, how to select audition wear, prep their binders, and pre & post audition preparation.
Character Study
With character study as an actor, one studies the script for insights. As singing actors, we have score study in addition to just the libretto. This workshop is about understanding musical clues and insights to your dramatic interpretation of a role and character interactions by studying the score.
Press Packet Assembly
Having a ready-to-go press packet is an essential as a performer. If one is self-managed or just starting out, it can be an intimidating task.
This workshop covers each element that go into a press packet, how to create them, the different variations needed, along with other materials one should have on hand or up-to-date as an artist.
Vocal Projection
This workshop was designed for museum docents, to learn more about healthy vocal projection in varying acoustic environments. This workshop involves a short powerpoint presentation about elements of vocal projection, followed by time spent with docents in the museum spaces to test out some new approaches with their tour materials.
